Massacres in Indonesia
A friend of mine gave a url of a youtube video and I was really shocked upon viewing it! As in shocked I was stuck on my chair, I couldn’t believed that even during this modern era such unhuman acts could really happen and worst - still happening. About this video, I’m not really sure if this is about the Christian/Buddhist-Muslim conflict in some part of Indonesia or this is during the East Timor conflict. One thing is for sure, this kind of violence is unacceptable, unhuman, immoral, and most of all MUST be stopped!

That was very disturbing. Sometimes I wonder about human nature and why we seem to gravitate towards violent acts starting on a small scale such as a simple fight and ending up seeing something like this. The problem is it is not only these people but all over the world there are things that someones ancestors have been a part of or allowed to happen that when looked at today will seem horifying. Just 40-50 years ago the Southern US was still lynching people because of the color of thier skin. Thw germans killed many Jewish, men, women, children, old, or young didn’t matter. What about Rwandi? Our respect for human life has to increase. How will the future look at how we allow unborn babies to be terminated? Will they see it in a positive light or a negative one. We still have a long way to go as a human race.

what could god say out of this behaviour? it all goes by the time of the crusades…like we thought that we wer fighting 4 our faith,but the truth was a fight for greed, lust, and wealth…..back to this incident,i wonder, r they proud 2 b called christians? jst by lookin at their happy faces torturing innocent children,…though im also a christian, i really cudnt imagine wat they hav done…again,”"”"Our respect for human life has to increase”"”. while im watching this video there is one question that goes to my mind “is there a god?”
what kind of god he is? a cruel god?or this is only he want us to be?to awaken our sleeping minds about religion?

You shouldn’t question if God has caused this. It’s our interpretation of God’s messages that keeps us from being separated, in factions, so to speak. Religion is belief. Spirituality, our conscience. It’s been human nature to eliminate threats around him (be it a grizzly bear, some virus, even a rainforest), and from this case, we see other people’s belief as a big threat.
Religious heads don’t want us united. The Apocalypse even tells us that a world united would be a sign of its end. It’s just up to us whether we want to stay divided, or live in harmony.

when i saw that video.. i was really sad and angry. cause i could not imagine people killing children. how could they do such thing like that to the children. its like killing the future of the world.

This is not human, it is as if this people are not yet human. They are like wild animals in a jungle. This should stop, the United Nations should step in and maintain human order in the area, and prosecute the perpetrators of this inhuman acts.

This video is about the massacre of Muslim woman and children in Poso Indonesia at the hands of radical Christians. They were stabbed with swords, debrained, and their hands were cut off. I could not watch enough to find out if it was pre or post-mortem.
It is very sad that religion would drive someone to commit violence. There is no excuse for one human being, Muslim, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Hindu, atheist etc., to inflict violence on one another. Completely unacceptable.

i am so confused here. when i read the news, it says that it was the radical Muslims who killed Christians in Poso, Indonesia but reading some comments in this page, i got the idea that it is the other way around. please make clear the REAL situation here.
anyways, i’m still shocked with this video. i saw my brother watching this video and i thought it wasn’t real. but he said it it so i searched for it in the internet. i can’t believe this. if someone isnt a member of you’re religion, i think that you shouldn’t resort to this kind of thing. if you believe that your religion is the real religion then so be it. let God(whoever it may be depending on you religion) punish the non-believers when judgement day comes. remember, there will be a judgement day. do not hold the power in your hands. do not dirty ur hands with blood.

why do people have to fight over religion when basically they’re all saying the same thing?
love your neighbors, love yourself, love your God.
do the right thing and you shall be rewarded.
there’s no need to fight over beliefs. it is human nature to not be able to agree with one another but violence won’t solve anything… and won’t result to anything but loss.
if being a non-believer is the issue, no one gave us the authority to punish the non-believers. I’m a catholic and in my religion, God wants us to spread the word, make people believe. FOR WHAT? to be good. to love one’s self, one another and God. the keyword is LOVE. people who kill for religion are hypocrites. i’m sorry but that’s how i feel. isn’t the word about doing what’s right? about preservation of life.. making it beautiful physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally? i mean.. im not saying that im some sort of angel and i’ve done no wrong ever…
we just don’t need to kill one another.. especially not like that.. so brutal and inhuman.. it’s so degrading to human beings.. being slaughtered like some animal..that’s all..
