Microsoft Publisher Network

Is Microsoft so desperate to become the leading internet search and advertising? I wonder why Microsoft is so desperate to buy out Yahoo, as a matter of fact Microsoft doesn’t need to buy Google or Yahoo just to become the no.1, all it needs is an excellent contextual advertising solution that can crash down Yahoo and at the same time Google. We all know that Microsoft is not that stupid :e4: the software giant indicated that it may lower its offer if Yahoo doesn’t accept the current bid by April 26.

If in case Microsoft can buy out Yahoo, other company’s which are tied up with Yahoo such as News Corp. would contribute the Internet’s top social network, MySpace.com, and some cash in a Yahoo takeover. The proposed deal would put three of the Web’s most popular sites — Yahoo, MySpace and Microsoft’s MSN — under the same umbrella.

Yahoo plans to merge with Google adsense to prevent the major takeover by Microsoft, unfortunately an ‘anti-trust’ law won’t allow them to merge completely due to some major legal issues.

If Yahoo turned over all its search-driven advertising to Google, it would face intense regulatory scrutiny that would be difficult to overcome, analysts predicted. Google controls 59 percent of the U.S. search market followed by Yahoo at 22 percent and Microsoft at 10 percent, according to comScore Media Metrix.

Darn! I can’t wait Microsoft to release it’s site publisher network!
