AdBrite ruined my day

I’ve been using adbrite for a couple of years now, and suddenly today my Adbrite ads just really pissed me off! My Adbrite ads just turned into a nightmare, without notice it suddenly is showing and popping up porn ads and other shitty advertisements on this blog. Anyway, in case you’re a webmaster and you’re using adbrite and your facing the same problem like me, just email them of what is happening. Believe me, they will send you a reply saying like this one:

AdBrite’s policy is that we do not allow adult content in the marketplace. As a result, we have moved your zone to our adult affiliate network, Black Label Ads. Your zone will be shown in the Black Label Ads directory and start showing adult ads. If you want to keep displaying adult ads, BlackLabelAds.com is where all your information, and all the same sites and services, will be. If you don’t wish to show adult ads, you’ll simply want to remove the AdBrite code from your webpages. To remove your zone, log into your account at www.blacklabelads.com. Select the “For publishers” tab and click the Manage ad zones link. Find the zone name and click the corresponding “Delete zone” link. If you wish to show non-adult ads, we ask you to first remove all adult content from your webpage. You can then contact us at support@adbrite.com to resubmit your zone for AdBrite reconsideration. Thanks, The AdBrite Team

AdBrite does not allow direct links to adult pages. Your site contains several direct links to pornographic sites. I have attached a screen shot for your reference. These links are the reason that your site has been reviewed as “adult”.

Would you believe that! They activated Black Label Ads because they found out adult links! WTF, I was shocked when I found out that those links came from a spam link on my blog comments which was already blocked by akismet spam blocker.

AdBrite is shit

Adbrite will search and detect any words containing adult content or adult words such as porn, nude, sex etc. and then it will automatically convert your family related adbrite ads to a blacklabelads which serves advertisement for porn sites.

:omg:

So basically, AdBrite doesn’t like sites who tackle any hot topics eg. “Lindsay Lohan posed nude for New York Magazine”. Anyway a simple email to Adbrite Client Services Team will fix the problem but dang I’m so pissed off! Why don’t they changed or turned off that stupid automatic activation of Black Label Ads.
