My San Diego Fishing Hobby
I moved from Seattle, Washington to San Diego, California mainly for two reasons, family and the beach. I love going to the beach so much, although Washington offers great beaches and lakes the water is really bone freezing cold. Anyway, I love the beach here in San Diego, the water is warm, and welcome surfers and anglers like me. The first pier I went fishing is the Imperial Beach. From there you will be able to see the mexican border and Tijuana of course.
For almost 4 hours of fishing we only caught 2 mackerels and 2 croakers. The was a freaking boring day, the tide is pretty low though. Anyway, I like to fish that way, the harder it is the more exciting to catch fish. There are hundreds of fishing spots in San Diego, from lakes to oceans. I only have 2 fishing spots though, one is the Imperial beach and the other one is at Marina Way, National City. I like to fish at Marina way, the last time we fish is last night too bad it was a bad night :heh: My cousin’s husband and I only caught 3 rays. Two skate and 1 bat ray. :omg: Normally, we could catched up to 10 mackerels, sand bass (I like sand bass so much), rays, and California corbina. And some mexican anglers there told us that they can catch shark during the night, when the tide is high.
California Corbina or King of Croakers are really hard to catch, I only caught a California Corbina for only one time using a mackerel as bait. Anyway, tomorrow we’ll go to the park and catch some fish as our past time.
I’ll try to post pictures of our catch. Til next time!
